My second seed starting tray of 2004

This tray was started on February 23rd, 2004 at around 23:00EST. Each of the 50 peat pellets had only one seed sown on its surface. As they sprouted I poked a hole in the peat and put the seed down into it with the root tip pointing up so that the seedling could pull itself out, hopefully without dragging the seed coat with it. Names in bold were seeds that did not germinate. I've filled in the table with all of the germination dates so far. I've pretty much given up on the stragglers and have replanted new seeds for those varieties in tray 4.

    As of 3/10/2004 all but the following seeds have popped:
  • 1/4 Cayenne
  • 1/2 Orange Habenero **
  • 2/6 Poblano
  • 2/2 Shipkas "Bulgarian Carrot"

** I'm pretty sure that this orange habenero did germinate pretty early on (before the 2/26) and I covered it a little. When it never came to the surface after a week or two I went looking for it and the seed coat seems hollow, but there is no sign of the seedling. Abducted by Chile Head Aliens?
